A short loop from Tarporley's handsome high street over the fields with Beeston Castle on the skyline.

Tarporley is a large, pretty village in the heart of Cheshire. People have been here since Neolithic times; a Stone Age axe and Bronze Age arrowheads have been found nearby.
This short loop heads out over the fields with views of Beeston Castle and comes back to the high street, where the Rising Sun, the Swan and the Foresters Arms are all waiting. It was damp when I went, so walkers might want wellies in winter.
