From the sandstone ridge above Primrose Wood past the Arts and Crafts house at Tirley Garth and down to Utkinton, with views to Wales.

You start up on the sandstone ridge at Tirley Lane, where the Sandstone Trail comes out of Primrose Wood, so take a minute for the view before heading down the lane.
Tirley Garth was built in 1907 for Bryan Leesmith, a director of Brunner Mond. Its latest owner, as far as I can make out, is Phil Redmond, the TV producer behind Grange Hill, Brookside and Hollyoaks.
The path then drops to Utkinton, tucked under the ridge with cracking views out to the Welsh mountains. I point out a couple of places where you can join the Sandstone Trail to make it longer.
