You're going to love this one. Little Budworth is a beautiful village, and I got a perfect day of blue sky and snow.
You start at Little Budworth Country Park, a common just outside the village with a free car park. It's a Site of Special Scientific Interest, probably the best surviving lowland heath in Cheshire. People have lived here a long time: the Romans passed through to exploit Delamere Forest, and a Viking called Bodeur set up home here.
The village street is lined with lovely old houses, proper picture postcard stuff.
