A beautiful summer morning, birds singing and sun shining. From Kennel Lane in Sandiway you start and finish with a short stretch of the Whitegate Way, then follow the Oakmere Way into Delamere Forest.

It passes Oakmere, one of the forest's quiet meres, and heads up to Old Pale for the view before you turn round and come back. About 12 miles there and back.
