From the quarry up onto Helsby Hill for the view over the Mersey, then along the North Cheshire Way to Alvanley.

From the old quarry you run up onto Helsby Hill for a fantastic view across the Mersey: the Welsh mountains, Stanlow, the Wirral, Liverpool, Frodsham and Runcorn.

Then you go over the top, drop down and pick up the North Cheshire Way to Alvanley before looping back. It's about three miles, and I point out where you could join the Sandstone Trail to make it longer.
