A great route for exploring the Sandstone Trail. From the Simons Lane car park in Frodsham you take in the spectacular view from the war memorial, then follow the well-marked trail along the sandstone ridge to Delamere Forest.

You skirt the edge of the forest and return by a different path, about ten miles in all.
