Last time at Cheddleton I ran down to Consall. This time it's the other way, along the Caldon Canal to Deep Hayes Country Park, then back over the fields via Shaffalong Lane and Brund Lane into Cheddleton by Ostlers Lane and the Basford Bridge path.
It's a lovely spot for a walk or run, with a couple of pubs to choose from afterwards, and the Churnet Valley steam railway at Cheddleton station.
