Audlem is a pretty village in the far south of Cheshire, close to both the Shropshire and Staffordshire borders, where the roads to Whitchurch, Market Drayton and Newcastle meet.
It sits on the Shropshire Union Canal, with its famous flight of fifteen locks, and close to the River Weaver. It's also the southern end of the Weaver Way, a 40 mile path to Frodsham. This loop uses the Weaver Way and the South Cheshire Way to make five easy miles.
