Getting out first thing on Boxing Day, still full of Christmas dinner, is hard work, but you're often rewarded with a sunrise.
From Audlem, south of Nantwich, you pick up the Shropshire Union Canal and follow it a mile south to Swanbach, do a lap of the hamlet, then come back up Bagley Lane and Wood Orchard Lane and take the path into Audlem. Three and a half miles, worth doing any day of the year.
