Tegg's Nose is worth a visit any time, but in August the heather on this part of the Gritstone Trail is spectacular. From the top you look across to Macclesfield Forest and Shutlingsloe one way and over the Cheshire Plain the other.

This is a six mile one way route, all downhill. You follow the Gritstone Trail down past Teggsnose and Bottoms reservoirs to Langley, leave the trail past St Dunstan's Inn and carry on to Sutton.
