Padstow and Little Petherick
Down the Camel Trail into Padstow, then out on the ancient Saints' Way to the obelisk and Little Petherick. Get there early and have it to yourself.

Get here early and you'll have it all to yourself. You run the last couple of miles of the Camel Trail beside the estuary into Padstow, past Rick Stein's chip shop and his original seafood restaurant from 1975, and pause by the harbour.
Then it's up to St Petroc's Church to join the Saints' Way, a long distance path to Fowey thought to have been used by early Christians travelling from Ireland to Europe. It climbs Dennis Hill to the obelisk, with stunning views over Padstow and Little Petherick creek, before looping back.
And yes, I met a very bouncy deer.
