On a short holiday in Cornwall I took time out from jumping in the sea to head north of Liskeard onto the eastern edge of Bodmin Moor.
From the free car park at Minions, the highest village in Cornwall, you walk past the Hurlers stone circles and the old mine engine houses up to the Cheesewring, a stack of granite slabs that looks like it shouldn't be able to stand. Short, and spectacular.
