I spent a lot of my youth round Northwich, so this was a bit of a trip down memory lane.
From Winnington you go through Furey Wood and along the River Weaver into the town centre, then follow the River Dane. You cross the Weaver at Hunts Locks, climb up to Castle and come back through Verdin Park.
It's a short, easy loop that shows how much green there is right in the middle of town.
