A beautiful drive from Macclesfield through Whaley Bridge and Chapel-en-le-Frith, down the Winnats Pass into the Hope Valley and on through Castleton to Bamford, near Hathersage on the Sheffield side of the Peak.

The route climbs onto Stanage Edge, the longest gritstone edge in the Peak District and much loved by climbers, and follows it for miles of huge views before dropping back down. Seven miles that feel a lot bigger.
