If you're heading up the A82 towards Glen Coe and Fort William, Luss is the perfect place to stretch your legs.
The village was built in the early 1800s for workers at the slate quarry, and it's often called the most beautiful village in Scotland. You might recognise it from Take the High Road. Walk down the street to the shore of Loch Lomond, the largest freshwater loch in Britain, then come back past the church and along the river.
Just a mile, but sit on the shore for a bit. It's worth it.
