Buttermere, Red Pike and High Stile
A classic: up past Bleaberry Tarn to Red Pike, along the High Stile ridge to Scarth Gap below Haystacks, and back beside the lake.
This film is on YouTube, which sets cookies.
Warning: this one will make you want to go up mountains.
From Buttermere you walk down to the lake, then up the steep path to Bleaberry Tarn and the even steeper one to the top of Red Pike. Then it's along the ridge to High Stile and on along the ridgeline to Scarth Gap Pass by Haystacks, before dropping back down to the lake.
We also look at where the final scene of Mission: Impossible Dead Reckoning was filmed. The GPX says about 8 miles but my watch said more, so allow plenty of time.
