Llanfairfechan to Bangor
A beautiful stretch of the North Wales coast from Llanfairfechan past the Lavan Sands to Bangor. A lesson in not running with an 8kg pack.

A cautionary tale: don't run with a heavy pack. A pack you'd walk with is not one you want to run with. At 8kg it sapped my strength, left me sore and exhausted, and I couldn't camp and carry on the next day as I'd planned. You live and learn.
It's a beautiful section though. From Llanfairfechan the coast path follows the shore past the huge tidal flats of Traeth Lafan, full of wading birds, and the Penrhyn estate, into Bangor.
