Dunham Woodhouses and the Bridgewater Canal

A misty morning on the edge of Dunham Massey, out on the Trans Pennine Trail and back along the Bridgewater Canal.

Between Warrington and Altrincham, the Trans Pennine Trail and the Bridgewater Canal run side by side, so you can hop between them for an easy loop.

From the Henshall Lane car park you follow the trail towards Altrincham, then pick up the canal and come back towards Dunham Woodhouses. If you fancy it, you can leave the canal and go through Dunham Town to the National Trust deer park at Dunham Massey.

I went on a misty October morning, and it was magical.
