This one starts on the cobbles by the Sandbach Crosses and heads out east over the fields at Sandbach Heath, past the old heath quarry and down Hemmingshaw Lane to Arclid.
At the Legs of Man you turn off onto Back Lane towards Martin's Moss and loop round through Spark Lane and Davenport Lane. The way home crosses the fields behind Arclid sand quarry, comes out by junction 17 of the M6 (not the scenic bit, but it's brief), and finishes through Sandbach Park and up Well Bank back to the Crosses.
It's mostly flat, a good mix of quiet lanes and footpaths, and easy to cut short if you need to. Fields can be muddy in winter.
