Weaver Way and Whitegate Way Loop

A big loop on familiar ground: the Weaver Way from Winsford to Northwich, the lanes to Cuddington and back along the old salt railway on the Whitegate Way.

I did this one on an e-bike while I couldn't run, so it's a longer loop than usual, but it works as a long walk in sections too.

From Winsford you follow the Weaver Way along the river to Northwich, then go through Hartford and down the back lanes to Cuddington. There you pick up the Whitegate Way, the old railway that carried salt from the Winsford mines to the main Chester line, and follow it back.

These are places I know well, and it's lovely country.
