A belter, if I say so myself. From Poolside at Rode Heath you follow the South Cheshire Way past Little Moreton Hall, the wonky Tudor manor, to the canal and on to Ackers Crossing.

Then the path climbs past Hanging Wood and the Old Man of Mow, a lone stone pillar left by quarrying, to Mow Cop and its castle folly on the Cheshire and Staffordshire border. The view from the top is stunning. The way down follows the Gritstone Trail.
