Crowton and the River Weaver
A sunrise figure of eight from the Hare and Hounds down to the Weaver at Pickerings Cut. Do either half for a 2.5 mile walk.

One of my favourite areas: the Weaver Valley between Acton Bridge and Frodsham. It's all open farmland, with the river winding down from Winsford, where salt used to be loaded onto boats for Frodsham, the Ship Canal and the Mersey.
From the Hare and Hounds at Crowton you drop down to the river at Pickerings Cut and go under the West Coast Main Line viaduct. It's a five mile figure of eight, so either loop works on its own as a two and a half miler.
